Auto framerate/resolution plugin for WDLXTV

saying autores.sh is a big collection of errors is really harsh because its the script file
ok, autores.log says the plugin loads correctly.
leds are on and you have no /tmp/autores.tmp file during playback, that means some error occured. maybe the file extension of your video is unknown to
the script. please tell me the file name of the video you are playing and where it is located.

you can watch what the script is doing when playing files. to do so get the wdtvext app.bin: http://www.mediafire.com/?0yqyotiimqg
put it on your usb stick too and reboot the wd. this enables logging to /tmp/dmaosd.log
now you can watch on console whats going on when starting videos with: tail -f /tmp/dmaosd.log

sorry didn´t mean to critisize your hard work, i was waiting for this functionality since i bought the wd 2nd gen 2 years ago, thought it was some kind of log and the errors are there because it´s not working for me.

it´s working now, i found the problem:
it was because of the sound.

my setting was set to stereo sound, because i don´t have a dts receiver, when i choose digital, everything works fine (except for the 25fps movies sound stuttering at 1080p50hz, but i think this is a problem with the firmware itself).
how do i have to change the conf to always force stereo output over hdmi?

ups, thats maybe a bug you found. you are using a wd gen2 right?
script should work for stereo mode too of course. can you please do me a favor?
please set audio output to digital and the look into the file /conf/config for the AUDIO_OUT setting. then set audio output to stereo and do the same again.
please let me know the AUDIO_OUT setting for both cases. maybe its different on wd gen2, i own a wd live only.

until i fixed this you can force stereo by setting:

audio_modes="
*:stereo
"

in /conf/autores.conf

i only own a wd live, sold my wd 2gen some time ago, sorry can´t help you there.

nevertheless, there must be a reason why it says invalid audio mode if you set stereo in the wd config menu. please post the contents of your conf/config file if you set to stereo and check again if script fails then. i want to fix that.

so after getting my daughter off the tv, I got a chance to breifly try this last night, on my wdtvlive it didn't seem to work, led's did not power off, resolution on the tv did not change, tried playing several files 1080p m2ts files with 23.976fps, tried 480p mkv with 29fps, etc but then I'm using sterio setting for audio, so I'll try on digital when I get home

That's why I also like to enjoy it, but I am one of the early adopters with a WDTV Gen1, and afaik it's not available for Gen1....

I read a ffmpeg binary for gen1 is needed. Has anyone already picked that up ?

with Dbox I select TV recordings in the Dbox folders to 576i
with 24fps, I rename some iso files so that it's recognized, as iso's don't work with ffmeg.

your dbox setting is missing the frequency. use 576i50 instead 576i.
