one tip: if you have NTP enabled so your network comes up and you can get in, then you can set S00user-script or S00custom-options to rm /tmp/init.d/S70dmaosd -- allows you to have an extra 70MB+ of memory to help you out during big compiles ;)

MkvToolnix 3.4.0 plus latest libebml and libmatroska libraries

ah..if any of you compiling something on your wd and it reset during this - stop any unnecessary daemons like ssh, ftp, umsp, samba. Reset during compilation mean that your wd memory is low. One more thing..before starting compile any libraries, check first debian repository..you save a lot of time ;)

Now, less work to remux my videos and save a lot of time.

Thank you very much!!! this works brillantly!!! :D :D :D

Do you use MKVToolnix on WD TV Live using commandline? Is it possible to use GUI remotely?

Unfortunatelly no. Gui work under local graphical environment - windows, or gnome, kde.

Rico you can make like me, in the GUI i do all the work, then copy the command-line from the GUI to my WDTV, obviously changing the paths of the files.

Fast update - new compiled version 4.2 with new libraries libebml and libmatroska.

Download: MKVToolnix 4.2

If someone have problems with audio in mkv (like in last Eureka.S04E05.720p.HDTV.x264-IMMERSE) you can try remux mkv file with mkvtoolnix. You must set compression algorithm to none in audio and video.

you directly compile on the wd? what are the advantages over using a standard linux with the toolchain provided by wd?
can you explain how to get a compiler environment on the wd? (gcc, make)
