Hi ;)
Here are my testresults.
After the solved problems all works great!
I had 2 or three corrupt rar archiuves in different torrents.
But i belive that they were produced by the other torrent clients.
Upload and download, all ok
The shown backup possibilitys will be tested in the nearer future.

Again a big: "Thank You" @ recliq for all

can someone please comment on its stability? (especially after adding a few big torrents ~ 3-4 gb each)

Thanks!

i havn't noticed anything worse than previous versions. i.e when adding large torrents transmission becomes unresponsive for a few minutes while it claims the the space on the hard drive for the file. Once that phase is over it works fine.

Thanks for compiling this new version.

When I click on the Transmission in the WEC i now get the following error instead on the transmission window :

Code: Select all
403: Forbidden

Unauthorized IP Address.

Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.

If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.

If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon manpage for details.

Does anyone know what this means?

thanks

It means you need to read carefully... ;)
recliq wrote:...
You need to add your client computer IP to TRANSMISSION_ALLOWED to be able to use the webend.
eg. TRANSMISSION_ALLOWED='127.0.0.1,192.168.1.10' if the computer your sitting at has IP 192.168.1.10
All this can be configured in WEC -> Apps. :mrgreen:

EDIT: sorry, maybe it sound harsh. Anyway the message says it all:

Unauthorized IP Address ---> YOUR IP

Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it. :o

If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries. :o :o it also says the entries to look for in the settings file.

But, as said by recliq, you can do it via the webend.

Good luck.

No worries, Cheers Dentex, I thought i'd gone back and read everything. I missed that post.. :roll:

I'll add that in, see if i can get it up and running...

One thing i did want to ask, was about updating the blocklist. I've seen people mention that they have done this, but not any details on how it's done.

if anyone could post a quick guide that would be great.

Hi Jimble,
here some links Mr Big G pointed me to:
https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/Blocklists --> Transmission wiki
https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/ConfigFiles --> Transmission wiki
https://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10795 --> read the last two messages
http://blog.shvetsov.com/2010/09/automatically-update-transmission-block.html --> to auto update
http://www.iblocklist.com/list.php?list=bt_level1 --> points to this: http://list.iblocklist.com/?list=bt_level1&fileformat=p2p&archiveformat=gz that *should* be the address to add in the config file.

Never tested.

ciao.
