Sorry for the late reply guys...had other problems installing 1.03.49. But now that I got it working, I can confirm that OpenVPN 0.3 is compatible with it.
Awesome job.

Thanks fo this awesome app!
But one little glitch makes it unusable for me: youtube periodically (almost every time) causes BCOD :(( Without OpenVPN loaded - it works normally.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

hi!
i've just made the question in the n00b section, but i realized this would be a more apropiate section, so here i go again;hopefully somebody can help me:
i,m running a 1.03.49_B_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_PLUS-0.4.5.3 and i'm interested in openvpn, i can see it as installed app in the frontend, i've made the openvpn.conf for http://www.freeopenvpn.com/ just for testing, as it doesn't need user and pass, but it's not working:
client
dev tun
proto tcp-client
remote freeopenvpn.com 443
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
ca /apps/openvpn/etc/ca.crt
cert /apps/openvpn/etc/client.crt
key /apps/openvpn/etc/client.key
verb 2
mute 20
no-replay
no-iv
cipher BF-CBC
auth none
-as i'm an absolute beginner, i don't know how to check it's running, how to start or to stop, and if i would get it finally working, how to use my own vpn that will ask user and pass:
client
dev tun
proto udp
remote secure.privateinternetaccess.com 1194
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
persist-key
persist-tun
ca ca.crt
tls-client
remote-cert-tls server
auth-user-pass
comp-lzo
verb 1
reneg-sec 0
also if there is a way to have it inside the wdlxtv so i can safely remove the usb stick
thank you for any help in advance

Could someone please post updated links to the App.bin files? The current links don't work.

Thanks!

Try the second link (FileFactory); that works fine.

Sorry guys, one silly question:
With this app the WD will be a VPN server or client?
Thanks.

Hi, hopefully this thread is still monitored by someone, preferably the owner of this app.
Question: does this app allow one to use the Witopia VPN service, which uses OpenVPN?
If so, do I just drop the config and cert files in the right folders?
Are there any OS specific config or cert file specifics that I should be aware of? Probably no, but making sure..

Thanks.

Yes, all download links are dead and I wasn't able to find it somewhere else.
Can somebody help and reupload it or perhaps create a new app.bin?
