How access from the outside my WDXLTV ?
Account in dyndns.org create.

When I want to get access my WDXLTV outside ?
How change defauls port 80 in WDXLTV, my modem answers too port 80 ?
File ports.conf read only, and i not change "Listen 80"

Make sure you are using version 0.3, the newest version that I posted yesterday. This gives you a web-based installer for ddclient. There is a link in the web frontend app that it installs that will let you send traffic to port 8081 instead of port 80. You simply turn that feature on by clicking the relevant link in the web-based installer.

If you are asking how to add app.bins to the WDTV in general, you just put it on the root of your USB key, put the USB key in your WDTV, and reboot the WDTV. You will then see ddclient show up in the web frontent.

If you are asking specifically how to install ddclient, then unless you have specific questions that aren't answered in the readme, I'm not going to repeat what is already in there. Everyone else using the application has successfully gotten it installed just using the instructions in that file. You should be able to as well.

It shouldn't take too long - maybe five minutes at the very longest (and usually less).

Every once in a while I have had the boot process fail. If you've waited 10 minutes or more and it still isn't working, try unplugging the power to your WDTV and plugging it back in again (do NOT remove the USB key).

ehmm...sorry but I spoke too soon... :?

When I restart the router my IP address change always the last number (for example from 111.22.310.120 to 111.22.310.87) so, obviously, I can't access to my dyndns domain!!
This is my router setup:
Address IP Internet --> load dynamic from ISP
Address Domain Name Server --> load dynamic from ISP

What parameter I must change??

Thanks!

The IP address of *what* changes - your router, or the WDTV? If you set up a static IP address on the WDTV as per the instructions, then it shouldn't change. I'm guessing by looking at the IP address you posted, though, that you mean the IP address that the cable company is assigning to your router is changing.

It is perfectly fine that that is changing - and in fact that is the whole point of ddclient! It essentially "phones home" to dyndns every 10 minutes to tell them what the current IP address of your router is - when dyndns gets that message, they update things on their end accordingly. so your-domain@dyndns.com will always point to the correct IP address of your router, even though that address is changing all the time.

Note that there could be up to a 10 minute gap, then, between when you reboot your router and when ddclient updates the dns info. If you wish you can get around this by rebooting your WDTV as well any time you reboot the router.

Changes the IP address assigned from my cable company.

IP Router --> ALWAYS 192.168.0.1
IP WDTV Live --> ALWAYS 192.168.0.2
IP cable company --> ALWAYS 93.XXX.113. and the last number ALWAYS CHANGES

My DYNDNS Setting require a COMPLETE address IP and I insert the same that indicates the site DYNDNS(Modify Hostname) in the phrase "Your current location's IP address is..."
Hostname: myaccount.dyndns.org
Wildcard Status: Disabled
Service Type: Host with IP address [?]
IP Address: 93.XXX.113.YYY
Your current location's IP address is 93.XXX.113.YYY (the same above!)
TTL value is 60 seconds.
Mail Routing: NO

at this point all works without problems...
but...when I switch off router+wdtv and restart I can't LOG IN!..because IP changes...even I wait for minutes/hours..... :(

Then..could you help me to fix it?

If you want I can send you, with PM, the complete details of my net configuration.

(sorry for my bad english...I hope I was clear..)
