I think now is better. The instability was caused because of the usb hub I use. I switced places the wifi dongle and the usb key with firmware and things got a lot better.

I you need anything to test ask me.

I see you're using wifi, so if dmaosd crashes, so does your wifi connection. If you plug in wired, you should still have telnet/webend.

I'm hoping it's an issue of swap/rtorrent... can you test stability with rtorrent off? Also, can you share your /conf/rtorrent.rc?

Since disabled wdtvext and changed the wifi dongle it stoped crashing and seems realy stable with or without rtorrent. Anyaway just in case have a look on my rtorrent.rc file.

Code: Select all

Small announcement: I'm postponing final release for a (short) while to integrate yet another "feature" into the firmware. I'm talking about UMSP_STATISTICS - an automated way to report on UMSP plugin usage. This requires small changes in UMSP, the webend and some backend scripts. I will post a new beta here and make it final after a few people played with it... Sadly it pushes the release date to february...

Discussion about this feature here: http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=6571&p=73293#p73293

just come across serious issue: Having EXT on, MSHEETMODE disabled, and list mode. Than when i go to the movie and exit it when it starts to play, the list shows again but you can't exit to upper level. When you try the movie keeps playing in preview mode and the whole osd eventually disappears

Sounds like the OSD crashed. If you have WDTVEXT=ON, then it should be "normal" behavior...

When WDTVEXT is off than it doesn't happen.
when it is on than I can see just one movie and after I have to restart the box - that doesn't sound like "normal" behaviour :)
Perhaps i didn't express myself clearly. So again
1) got to the folder
2) play a movie
3) exit movie
4) your are in the fold and movie plays in movie preview (that's normal)
5) exit the folder
6) screen goes black, just movie still plays in preview window, box doesn't react to remote control commands and you must restart it

actually if you read the thread mad_ady was clear that if WDTVext=ON the OSD will eventually crash

Yes, it's sad that it crashes - I did my best, but can't fix it without sources... If it's too annoying, keep wdtvext=off
