@E4rL: You have 1 post (in this thread at that) and have had almost 24hrs to find somewhere on the forum that you could answer a question / give feedback / etc...and you haven't. How am I supposed to believe that you will give any feedback if you don't currently.

@absorber123: Your two previous posts display an extreme lack of Linux knowledge. I fear that you will not be able to provide any relevant information or do any meaningful debugging.

Any news on when b-rad is releasing a public beta.
I have no linux knowledge so am not asking to be a pre beta tester.
But am curious how close you are to an actual release.

Great job being done by you. Hat's off.

When can we test new ext3 firmware ?? I have may wmamp videos, I could play them through transcoding, but with new patch done by Specialist, we can play directly.

I patched the MediaLogic file with hex editor with new data & replaced the MediaLogic file in /bin/, but. I was not successful in playing the video , I exactly don't know the flaw.

I am early waiting for new firmware, with this patch inclusion.

I know its m first post here ... I am very interested to be a beta tester to support your nice work.
I own and WDTV Gen1 since the first days and since the first homebrew firmware was out i flashed it immediatly.

1 Week ago i bought a Belkin Gigabit USB Adapter only because of trying to find out if this little baby is able to
be a nice streaming client for my Dreambox 800, and what i can say at the moment ... yes ...
I can watch 1080p movies i recorded on my DM800 without any laggs and very smoothly with the wonderful
nfs.app.bin (Thanks for the nice work).

What i currently want to implement is that my WDTV is able to also get the live stream of the DM800,
first tries with trying to open the currently recorded .ts file through NFS failed, i'am not sure why currently but
iam inverstigating. Next thing i want to implement is a way to show all channels like movie sheets on WDTV
and easily press this "Channel MovieSheet" and directly initiating the live stream.

Next i really want to get more into is the optware package ... I like to have the wdtv as a openvpn server,
the package is already included in the nslu2 beta repo. at nslu2 and its installing nicely, whats currently missing is
the tun.ko support - i once was involved (or did it by myself) get the openvpn run and my Neutrino D-Box2 with success
and i think i can possibly use it but its problematic because of mips != ppc ..
Next i want to check is if it is possible to get cccam server running ...

TO introduce my person:
I am around 30 years, professional software developer since 12 years (c,c++,php,c# .net) and own a hacked wdtv, a hacked D-Box2 (Neutrino), a hacked Dreambox 800 (Enigma 2) and a still a not upgraded PS3 - waiting for Geohot (still running ubuntu 9 on my PS3);) ...

So anway thanks for your nice work and if i can support your work with beta testing please let me know.
If not i anyhow will blow the forum with many many other questions
