Hi

My dad is the owner of a WD TV live hub, and I have installed your application for android phones, but I can not make it work. The WD TV is connected by CPL, and PC connection is good. My android is connected by wifi. When I run your application, I select "WDTV Live Hub", I enter the IP of the machine, the screen displays the remote control and ... That's it. The buttons have no effect on the device. I tried to restart the WDTV, then the two, but still nothing. Maybe should I install something else, or maybe my wifi android can not go with the CPL, I do not know... Excuse me if my question is stupid and if the answer is already on the forum, and I too apologize for my English if there are mistakes, I'm French.
Thank you in advance :)

The PLC should not be a problem if both devices are on the same network.
The app needs access to mediaplayer web interface remote, to check this, just write the IP address on a web browser (password is 'admin') and select the remote interface.
If this is working, then the app will work. If you can't access or the web interface remote doesn't work, try to re-check the IP address or as a last chance try to restore the factory defaults on the mediaplayer (CAUTION! this will delete all the configuration)

Hope this helps. ;)

Thank you for your answer. After your message, I thought that was my phone which connect to the wrong place. Indeed, it connects to a public point instead of the wifi of my home. I changed it, I checked by writing the IP in the browser (and I also checked later in "web interface" of the application), it tells me "good", I can connect and access the remote control in the browser. But none of the 2 remote control, the browser or the application, does not work. If you ever have another idea... :)

Well, it works :) I restarted the connection setup, I would have to try that earlier. Anyway, thank you for your help and for this application :)

Is there a way that, insteadof just having the remote,we can get a listingof all the files on the device (videos, music etc.) ?

I think that would be a lot cooler than just the normal remote interface.

If we were able to play files just by looking at a list on the Android device.

Btw thanks for your efforts on this app. I never thought I'd be able to connect my gen1 wdtv to android.

Don't forget to rate the app on the Android Market.

;)

Yes it would be a killer feature, but as we spoke a few post before, it's diffucult to give support to official firmware users and the best solution to WDlxTV users comes with web interface file browsing.
Some users are doing a really great improvements on this, so don't be surprised if you see that feature soon on your WDlxTV. ;)

Any progress on choosing files to play - or even tunein radio-streams via the app ?
