Does the WDLXTV fix the maximum 2 TB and no USB 3 issues ?

Does the homebrew firmware fix the problem with the WTV-HD (I have Gen2) that you cannot use USB Harddrives with more than 2 TB?
Bigger drives do not get recognized, not with one > 2 TB partition and not with two2 < 2TB partitions.

Also the WTV-HD doesn't support USB 3 with the original firmware.

WD no longer offers updates for the WD-TV HD to "force" you to buy WDTV-Live

No, WDLXTV doesn't fix this, because these are kernel related and we can't change the kernel.

That's too bad :(
So only Western Digital could change this and not a custom firmware?

Tecnical reply:

USB 3.0 is hardware related problem, since need specific hardware.
Partition size is kernel related -> modifing this paramenter migh cause inefficency in disk read code caused by using bigger pointer that require more processor instruction (=> more cpu time ) to be managed
