ok, this one might be a keeper :P

- updated most network drivers
- automagic network device detector (READ net.config for how to enable)
- NETAPPS: allows mounting of app.bin & osd.bin from network shares
- AC3 & DTS both work in stereo again
- pictures work
- many, many other minor tweaks & bugfixes

i'll try and make a new enLiven.app.bin soon, but I will be very busy for the next 4 days due to family in town. My priority was getting g2/live/plus out the door before that happened ;)

download here

enjoy & discuss :geek:

As ever, outstanding sir!

Thank you so much for your continued support for a device which you (and for that matter not many other people) do not actually own.

Seems to work great, the MKV playback errors are thankfully gone now.
It does however, seem to switch the power and USB lights off from the front of the unit when playing a movie.
Might be due to the autores I think, but no big deal.
Thanks again.

Probably, configure the Autores options to disable this behaviour.

are there any other download options for the firmware? I started the download from upload.to and it stopped at 2.5MB... I was running WoW's streaming updater and it was hogging all the bandwidth, so that probably explains that, but since the download ended I can't start up the download again for 45 minutes.

Patience might be a virtue, but I'm tired of being patient :P

waited my 45 minutes and the download is going nicely... next I get to learn how to use this download :D

Yes, this is a great feature! :-)
Why would anyone want to stare att two LEDs in an otherwise dark room, while watching a movie?
It is a simple setting in autores.conf.

Hi,

I have successfully installed 0.4.5.0 in my WD TV and I verified the version. But I am having problem accessing wireless. I have "Airlink usb router" and it says I have RTL8188S WLAN Adapter. I also changed the net config file but no luck. I am all new to this try very hard to access my media wirelessly. Can some one help me out what I am doing wrong? or how can make this possible?

And if someone direct me to right thread saying how to install again or installation guide then it will be great.

Thanks:)

Hi,

I tried the new firmware with my movies in mkv, it works great but I don't have the DTS sound.
Is there a command line to write in the file S00custom-options or it's not possible to have the DTS.

Thanks B-rad for your work.

Hi b-rad,

thanks for the great stuff!
Maybe a stupid question, but what does it mean "* retail DVD support (!!!!!)"? Does that mean, the G2 can handle DVD menu structure? And if so, what about ISO files?
