Question WDTV Live Streaming Gen 3 Model WDBHG70000NBK

Hi, there,

Just bought 2 units WDBHG70000NBK from BestBuy and honestly I was very impressed by the features.

When I looked for the alternative FW though, I was like GRRR!

I wrote here just to express my hope that someday, somebody will be able to adapt a FW for my type of unit.

I am in the same "boat" I got a gen 3 device before I knew there was a difference. If there is anyway to notify the gen 3 owners of any progress or any help we could provide it would be great.

Whenever a breakthrough is done for the Gen3 it will be listed on the forum (under Firmware download section) or on the wiki. You can add the download section subforum to a RSS feed reader and you will be notified of new downloads.

I added config_tool -c FOLLOW_HERD='1' and /dev/sda1/expectations is auto mount.

Western Digital must enhance features in their new model,rather than limit to very few features.
Very strange to see their reputation might cost them more.

Expert have made enhanced firmwares by updating softwares for WD live Tv and WD Live TV plus.
I am sure these expert will device some enhanced firmware/solution ,veery soon,for WDTV Live Streaming media player Gen 3 Model .
