I had started porting wdlxtv to 1.06 base, but I stopped working due to lack of time: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=9073

The progress is posted on the svn, so it can be continued from there: http://svn.wdlxtv.com/listing.php?repna ... .43-wdlxtv

In the current state, it should boot as ext3 and it gives you telnet access and possibly xmounts (in addition to the stock 1.06 features).

If you're interested to continue the project I can help you get started (check the final posts on the other thread). Unfortunately it seems I'm the last developer that is still following the forum - the others have pretty much moved on.

I'd like to give it a shot, though I have never used tool chains before.

Any list of bugs or something that tells me what is left to do?

The good thing is that you don't need to compile anything! You just need to take existing files from 1.05 branch and merge them (manually) in the 1.06 branch and resolve conflicts (if any). You need to know basic svn (and work your way commit by commit) and have a general understanding of how linux systems work.
I reached around commit #80 out of a few hundred, so i'm about 15% through. The 1.06 system should boot and you should get telnet and maybe xmount support. The rest of the features still need to be ported over.
The only complicared bits are the webend and some binary patches to dmaosd, but I can help you with those when the time comes.
In the meantime try the svn version of 1.06 and see how it goes!

Sorry, it's too early to be flashable. I'm worried that if you flash it you might not be able to flash anything else. You can run it as a rootfs or ext3root. Details on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=9073
