You left IRC before we had time to answer, but:

* Optical light is always on when the unit is on or in standby. There's no way to turn it off either with the original firmware or with the custom firmware
* The temperature is normal: http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/Power_settings/Standby

See the link above for ways to reduce the power while in standby

Telnet on webend depends on java support in the browser. The best way to use it in Android is to install a telnet client like ConnectBot (which can do ssh by the way).

but, in the case of the old Gen1 and the webserver and the webserver-addons, i remember that we can perform the telnet without java or others.....

ok, i have seen a problem on this firmware.
Each time that i start my wd tv live, it do it with 720p, and all the time i have to change it to 1080p. In the video settings i see that the current mode is PAL composite, that cant be, because i have it attached to the TV with hdmi cable and the tv is saying that is 720p. At the moment this is the only problem i have found on this cfw....

possible solutions ?

also, i added this into advanced web repositories... Spanish http://umsp-pack.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/umsp-pack/
with no luck, i cant see the plugins... why ?

Does it happen even if you restart the WDTV after setting the video resolution? Does it not happen on other WDLXTV firmwares? Maybe your TV has problems communicating the correct EDID parameters to the WDTV...

The link to the umsp plugins you provided is not a supported UMSP repository link. The repository link needs to run a web server and have a bunch of custom scripts to serve the plugins. You can use the plugins if you:
1. Follow their specific installation instructions (if any) or
2. Pack them inside a umsp.zip and put them in the root of your USB drive.

Have you installed and enabled them? On what firmware did they work last time? Last time plugin management changed was between firmwares 0.4.7.3 and 0.5.0.0...
