Hmm, stuttering usually doesn't happen with connected drives - mostly with network access. Maybe somebody else has some tips for you.

Great, now I'm the big exception. :? But thank you for your help, mad_ady.

It's an NTFS formatted WD external drive with 1,5 TB capacity. It has 3 partitions that I made on my Mac. WDTV reads the files perfectly though - it just stutters after a while of playing. I think it's a bit strange that the old firmware (1.05.XX) worked fine and the newer versions won't play my video files.

@Mookie: Start by telling us which firmware you are currently running, you mention official 1.06 firmware but not which WDLXTV firmware you are using (if any).
If you have these problems with official firmware there's not much we can do I'm afraid..

@Mookie: Stuttering or not mounted NTFS drives are mostly caused by a corrupt NTFS filesystem. Connect the drive to your computer and run chkdisk.
Always remember to eject your drive before you disconnect it from WDTV or power the unit down with remote.

Since my PC doesn't accept my external hard drive I had to check it using my Mac. It didn't find any errors but I saw that the file system seems to be "Mac Journaled". Could that be a problem? But why did it work in the beginning?

And IF this might be the problem - any ideas on how I can change the file system without having to backup 1 TB of data? :| I have no other external HD...

Ok, so I will delete my 1 TB media partition and format it in NTFS. Can I somehow tell WDTV to only scan this partition when it's booting up?
