Sorry for maybe stupid questions...But media mark isnt working when i do power off the wdtv.
What exactly must i do for working media mark even when my wdtv is off from power. (using remote electrical plug)
Must i make a new folder ("Mediamark" for example) to my Harddisc and paste the folder in the WDLXTV Webend conf., or?

Where must i paste the folder? Number 1. or 2. (see the picture)
What must i paste in : "/tmp/Mediamark" or what?

Image

Great thanks for help.

The tooltip when you move the mouse over MEDIAMARK_DIR tells you that it defaults to /tmp and changes will not survive a reboot with this setting.
You need to set a location to a usb drive or xmount.

Hi, I have problem creating \.wdtvext-plugins directory from WDLXTV user interface. When I open Plugin section and it tells you to create an folder to start using plugins, I can select USB1 or USB2 but in either of them I can create folder on USB pluged in WD. What I am missing.
One more thing when I try to get ext subtite (pressing search button) when I select subtitle from list of found ones it get prefix X, D but i cant load it.

The hard disk on which MN is trying to write the subtitles file must be RW (Read / Write) !

My line in the net.mounts file is :
Code: Select all
xmount 192.168.0.2:/nfs/Public/SharedVideos SharedVideos nfs rw,vers=3,rsize=16384,wsize=16384,hard,proto=udp,timeo=7,retrans=3,nolock,addr=192.168.0.2|

Note the rw parameter !

I'm copying/pasting an answer from zmiki earlier in this thread :
In WEC you should, under System tools, run Mount table (left column)
in windows that opens there is a list of mount points
/tmp/media/usb/USB1/SharedVideos is the one that should be rw for subt. download to work
WD TV Live (Model number WDBAAP0000NBK) running 1.02.21.WDLXTV_LIVE-0.5.1.1 + picto osd + MNv4 + webplayer
Synology DS212

@piplfox First if you do not want any additional plugins you do not need to create \.wdtvext-plugins.
You can xmount windows share with
xmount "//192.168.5.3/movies" "win_disk" cifs user=guest,pass=guest,rw,nobrl
//192.168.5.3/movies adress and share name of win7 pc and dir
win_disk name you want see on wdtv

Thx zimki for replay. I found out that I can’t install new addons, but after all I don’t need any cose there is everything in firmware. Thx for that too. ;) . But can you give same tutorial or steps how to do that mount cose I am total noob in Linux. That command examp. You posted where do I put it in some file ore just enter it through putty. When I enter it in putty I get mount in mount table
"Mount point: /tmp/media/usb/win_disk
Device: \\192.168.10.20\Filmovi
Options: rw,mand,unc=\192.168.10.20\Filmovi,username=wd,uid=0,gid=0,rsize=64512,wsize=130048"

, but I dont see it in wd UI under local drives, so I gess it need to bee in some file/config to get mount during boot?

sorry for your troubles but lets try sort it out.
1. if you want your xmount to show under Video/USB1 there are two ways:
simpler one is to have usb stick connected to WDTV
the other possibility is to enable fakeUSB on WEC system VirtualUSB drive (that way you do not need any USB sticks connected to WDTV).
This should solve problem of your share dir not showing.

2.dslite not showing could be that it has wrong EOL char if it is edited in windows notepad.
solution is to download Notepad++ editor edit the file in it and on menu edit check that EOL conversion is set to UNIX format.
Filezilla also must have an option when transfer to change EOL char when transfering from windows to linux(WDTV)
also change permisions to 755

3. now on rw and ro which started all troubles
first in WEC you should under system tools run mount table
in windows that opens there is a list of mount points
/tmp/media/usb/USB1/SharedVideos is the one that should be rw for subt. download to work
post what you get there for further help

Ive also tried as u explaind here how to make subdownload work but when I enable FakeUSB I get moount table look like this:

Block Devices
TYPE: vfatDevice: /dev/sda
UUID: 4E10-7734

Mount Locations
Mount point: /tmp/media/usb/sda
Device: /dev/sda
Options: rw,noatime,nodiratime,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,utf8

Mount point: /tmp/media/usb/USB1/4E10-7734
Device: /dev/sda0
Options: rw,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,utf8

Mount point: /
Device: /dev/sigmblockh
Options: ro

and subdownload does not work again.

@piplfox
well you are almost there.
the command you entered works fine and it should be put in file net.mounts in directory /conf
with fake USB enabled you do not need any USB disk connected to wdtv for this mount to be shown in OSD under video/usb1
