sorry for your troubles but lets try sort it out.
1. if you want your xmount to show under Video/USB1 there are two ways:
simpler one is to have usb stick connected to WDTV
the other possibility is to enable fakeUSB on WEC system VirtualUSB drive (that way you do not need any USB sticks connected to WDTV).
This should solve problem of your share dir not showing.
2.dslite not showing could be that it has wrong EOL char if it is edited in windows notepad.
solution is to download Notepad++ editor edit the file in it and on menu edit check that EOL conversion is set to UNIX format.
Filezilla also must have an option when transfer to change EOL char when transfering from windows to linux(WDTV)
also change permisions to 755
3. now on rw and ro which started all troubles
first in WEC you should under system tools run mount table
in windows that opens there is a list of mount points
/tmp/media/usb/USB1/SharedVideos is the one that should be rw for subt. download to work
