Personally, I just change the display ratio on my TV when watching old 4:3 content. It takes care of zooming in to fill the screen.

Another Question: Is it possible to start a movie from ssh/telnet?
I mean a command like: like play /file/path/movie.mkv
so no ir-remote injection
Exists a list with wdlxtv commandline commands?
The ir-command injection already worked for me, but i wont to start a specifick file, no steering the remote.

I would like to show an image on the screen, like upnp-cmd does with video, but when I send it an image file, it doesn't do anything. More specificially:

The following plays a video successfully:
Code: Select all
# upnp-cmd SetAVTransportURI file:///tmp/video.flv
# upnp-cmd Play

Whereas the following doesn't do anything (image.jpg is in the same directory as video.flv and is a valid image file):
Code: Select all
# upnp-cmd SetAVTransportURI file:///tmp/image.jpg
# upnp-cmd Play

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

maybe missing meta info, try this
Code: Select all
file=/tmp/image.jpg
meta=`upnp-meta $file`
upnp-cmd SetAVTransportURI "file://$file" "$meta"
upnp-cmd Play

the second command gave me a problem:
Code: Select all
# meta=`upnp-meta $file`
-sh: upnp-meta: not found

I installed b-rad's 1.02.21.WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.2.4, which included upnp-cmd but not upnp-meta, so it looks like I have to find out how to install upnp-meta. I'll start looking it up. If there's an easy way or a place to start, please let me know.

Upgraded to 1.03.49_B_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_PLUS-0.4.7.3, which has upnp-meta, and those four lines work.

Thank you, recliq!
