Thanks.. I know about smartplaylists, and I do use them, but I would like at least each selection be a random pick not the next from a list of random songs.
I just somehow assumed you would know what programming tools to use to add something to Kodi.

But I do appreciate taking the time to reply to my question.. ;O)

Nope, sorry, I haven't looked into it. Anyway, what makes you think that selecting a random song after the current one has played is better than generating a random playlist to begin with? It should be the same randomness, unless you use this: https://xkcd.com/221/

After awhile you know what the next song is going to be when it is using a randomized playlist. sure you can generate a new list every now and then... But it the random function would use something like the current microsecond of the clock as the seed to the random number generator any song has the same chance of being played next.

Hi peoples, good to see you all although you've probably moved on again, i'm a bit late lol.

I just came on looking for similar help, I just upgraded / downgraded to Windows 10 and my WDTV won't see it at all, still see 8.1 and 7. Oh well

Most of us have moved on, but you may be able to find help already on the forum. I don't have windows 10, nor a working wdtv.
