Where do I put a WDLXTVExt plugin?

Postby EvilWayz » Sat Jul 02, 2016 1:06 pm

I found a Transmission OSD plugin I think might help me get it working, but I don't knwo what to do with it. It's in zip format, and there doesn't seem to be a sticky on wdlxtv plugins. Or maybe its o simple it doesn't need one.

WDTVExt plugins are stored on your USB drive in /.wdtvext-plugins/. Unzip it first there. You will then see it in the OSD and you can enable it there (WDTVExt manegement or something).
Make sure you're running a WDTVExt supported firmware.

I am running 1.04.04_B.WDLXTV_PLUS-0.5.2.2

I had a file called TransmissionOSD.zip

Inside this file was a directory called TransmissionOSD

I placed the entire folder within the .wdlxtv-plugins directory.

Then I powercycled the device.

there are still no plugins listed in the ext plugins tab of hte configurator.

Ok, I think you have the firmware version wrong - I don't remember a 1.04.04-0.5.2.2 firmware. Maybe 1.05.21-0.5.2.2? Anyway, Plus firmwares don't have wdtvext support, so the plugin will not work for you. It would work only on a Live (or with a Live ext3 firmware).
