Media scraper for WDLXTV Live?

Postby alfiebear » Mon Apr 04, 2016 10:18 pm

I think this may be a dumb query as I can find little on the subject but is there any way to install a scraper for movie data etc on the WD?

From what I have read one can install and use Movie sheets or an external scraper app on another networked system such as Thumbgen.

I seem to recall that under the old stock OS with the WD that one did get media info displayed - artwork and other info etc.

If you're using Gen3 - maybe. For Live/Plus you had to generate your sheets with an external program, on a PC (for performance reasons). You could use Thumbgen or SheetMaker (under Linux). Or you can try to use any other sheet generation tool (such as MediaElk) as long as it generates the sheets in the format WDLXTV expects it. Experiment with one movie until you get it to display correctly.
