boot into commandline

Postby liquidsnake » Sat Jun 14, 2014 12:12 pm

hello,

is it possible to boot into the linux comandline from the WDTV, and issue commands from a USB keyboard?

i saw a guide here:
http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/Accessing/controlling_a_Windows_PC_from_your_WDTV

it says, "You now need to log into your WDTV using the root login", but doesn't explain how to do that.

any help would be great!

Why would someone to attach a physical USB keyboard? You can install tons of ssh clients even on android tablets and issue command from your sofa on your WDTV.

Hope this helps!
