I'm on 1.03.49_B

I noticed the official firmware powers down the hard disk, how do I get ver 1.03.49 to do the same?

Free software means that the user is required to read the documentation. The developers and those assisting are not slaves to people too lazy to read documentation.

WDLXTV firmware and the official WDTV Live firmware are identical in the base functions and configurations. The same official WDTV Live firmware commands apply.

Therefore; if people have read the official WDTV Live firmware manual, they would know the command.

Very hard to believe you did search the forum... my first simple search yields 61 results and I bet the solution is mentioned in there a couple of times.

Sorry - I am trying.
I've done the search, and got 56 results (I think).
I've trawled through quite a few, and I'm still struggling.
I've got the following entries in my config file:

POWER_DOWN_ACTION50='USB_POWER_OFF'
POWER_DOWN_ACTION40='umount /dev/sda1; eject /dev/sda'

Those weren't working, so I've also got:

POWER_DOWN_ACTION80='umount /dev/sda1; eject /dev/sda'
POWER_DOWN_ACTION90='USB_POWER_OFF'

I also haven't changed the default:

USB_POWER_OFF='1'

The disk isn't powering down, and the USB wireless dongle has power.

I'm on Firmware Device: WDLXTV_LIVE
Latest version: 0.5.1.1Current version: 0.5.1.1

I belong to several car forums and any time a noobie has a question, I have no problem giving them the answer. I guess you have your reasons for not helping, but it would of been better if you didn't post anything at all.
