great so it means that it already in recovery mode....
go to Western Digital Web Site,
download the lastest (not Beta) firmware
Make sur you have a USB flash drive that is formated in FAT32, (you can use Windows format, just make sure you select FAT32)
copy over the 3 files from the ZIP you downloaded the .fff .ver and .bin , make sure they are the only files in the flash drive....
remove everything else, including folders...
Don't modify any of the firmware files....
when you have that message, insert the USB Flash drive on the back of the WDTV.... after a few second the USB LED should start flashing meaning that its reading the flash drive... it should start installing the firmware
if the LED just flashes like 1 or 2 times... and then stops and nothing else happens in the next 10 minutes....
Try to copy the 3 firmware files to a different branded flash drive, and try again.
Personaly I used Kingston Datatraveler 4GB and a InnoDisk Nano 4GB and both worked fine.
