Power down the WDTV
Put the USB on the other USB port and powerd your WDTV back up
if still stuck at 0%, do the same thing, remove the USB and put it right back in....
IF still the same issue, then try chaning the USB drive
Personaly I have good results with a Kingston Data Traveler 4GB using the side USB port
