I've finally got it to install b.rad's firmware

Now onto trying to get some customizing done!!

All I really want to do is be able to access the WDTV live from my xbox 360 & PS3 - any ideas?

I am sure you can mount the wdtv to the network and it might show up as a media server????

But why do you need it to go through your ps3 or xbox??

The WDTV does not show as a DLNA media server. You need third party applications like MiniDLNA/Twonky/Mediatomb on it, or a Live Hub (which has Twonky built in).

O yeah thats right... I knew that

Is there any thing you have to program in the apps to do that miniDLNA for ex, that will make it show up on your game console, also will the wdtv transcode the audio and such to render let say mkv files to play on the ps3. but right on bdazzler for the thought and the GREAT RMerlin with the power I might just have every TV hooked up to my collections...

No transcoding - the WDTV lacks the cpu power for that.

Not much to configure in MiniDLNA aside from chosing what folders to share, and pointing the database location to an USB disk.

I'm still trying with this Twonky App

Tried early mount of of my Kingston USB which holds my EXT flash & Apps

Tried setting the sharing to the extensions of both usb ports but no joy

This is becoming really annoying!!
