Thumbnails / background issue

Postby arian40 » Mon Jul 09, 2012 12:11 pm

Hi,

Okay just to mention that i am "kind of" new to this wdlxtv ..

I have a few issues with the images appearing. I have successfully generated a msheet which appears on the screen fine, however i have trouble setting up the thumbnail for the movie folders, what do i name the covers/thumbnails? and do i have to point a path to it from the webend ? if so where on the web end section do i do so?

second issue is my background image, I have tried so hard changing it but no success. I put the image on the USB and pointed the path to the image from the webend still no joy, ( the size is below 512).. please help.

a little info on my setup:

I am running all my movies on a NAS drive and all of my msheets are on my usb stick, /tmp/media/usb/test
and i am running the latest firmware.

your help is highly appreciated .

1. Please provide more information about your setup... (device, firmware version, wdlxtv version, ...)
2. It seems you are using MSHEETDIR (sheets on USB, media on NAS) and I bet you're trying to put the thumbs on the USB drive along with the sheets...
This will not work! It's called MSHEETDIR for a reason, it's for sheets only.
Thumbs have to be named folder.jpp for the parent folder and moviename.jpg (for moviename.avi) for the media file and they have to be placed along with the media files.

NOTE: Thumbs are handled by DMAOSD they have nothing to do with moviesheets or it's configuration!

To change the background, simply supply an image named villa_bg.jpg in the root of your USB drive.
