I meant I have managed to load the 8192cu.ko, but the one included in G2 firmware by using that net.config file, because as you've said in the other forum it doesn't support iwpriv. But there is something else missing in config files because it's not connecting to the wifi router.

Still no ip address for the WDTV Gen 1. The wireless USB is blinking but no IP. Anybody? It seems so close to working.

all I can suggest is piping stderr & stdout for every command in your net.config to a file in /tmp, then modify logsaver to grab that log as well. You'll most likely find the answers you need there. I'd also uncomment SUPPRESS_OTHERS=YES so the logs have less fluff in them.

Thanks for the advice but my coding skills are limted, very limited. Also I have never used Linux. What do I need to modify the logsaver and use stderr & stdout.

did anyone successfully made to work with RTL8187L? please let me know. i am having 'Level 1' usb adapter with RTL8187L chipset. if this works i will update from official firmware to custom firmware

With Realtek updating their driver makes me wonder if you should withhold releasing your code. Since they were so reluctant to update their driver I'd hate for all your work to be consumed by them. Why let them benefit
