Moviesheets in Wall/Sheet mode display too big***Solved***

Postby darsenator » Mon Feb 20, 2012 7:11 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm having an issue with getting the moviesheets when I set the sheet mode to Wall/Sheet mode.
The Moviesheet and Thumbnails are overlapping each other and it makes the viewing experience really confusing.

I have the WDLiveTV with F/W WDLXTV-LIVE 0.5.1.1 (Based on the official firmware 1.02.21)
Video Display mode = Thumbnail.

I'm happy to attach an example.

I have gone through various online articles and youtube videos but I can't seem to get my moviesheets to display as I was expecting.
I'm using thumbgen to generate the moviesheets.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Best Regards

Most likely you generated the wrong sheets... but hard to tell without an explicit explanation or screenshot.

Hi recliq,

Thanks for answering my post.I'm happy to provide screenshots.

In ThumbGen, the "Main Moviesheet" is set to WDLXTV-Live Generic dynamic sheet/all modes(<moviename.ext>_sheet.jpg

In the WDLiveTV settings, the Video Setting/Browse Display = Thumbnail.

So it's almost like it's showing a standard size moviesheet as I flick through each thumbnail in 'Sheet Mode'.

Thanks and regards,

I've worked out how to include screenshots...so here goes

In the image below is how my 'Sheet' displays.
The thumbnails are overlapping onto the background and making the display cluttered and hard to read.

And here is another example

This is how my Moviesheets back end is configured

What I suspected you are using a std mode template in Thumbgen but have wall/sheet mode configured on WDTV.
You need to use a sheet/wall mode template in TG. Simple as that.

Hi Recliq,

:D , It was your prompt advice that pointed me in the right direction, it completely made sense why things looked the way they did.

I was using the Default Template that came with TG and that was only giving me a Standard Wall image, as soon as I changed it to a template that gave me the option of Wall or Sheet it all started to work.
So now I have the freedom to change the look of the wall according to the naming convention of the sheets (as per the screenshot below).

I much appreciate your advice provided, many thanks.

I'm marking this as solved.
