Hi ozzii,
here my answers:

First of all thanks for your work

Questions,
In each folder I have a "folder.jpg" for thumbnail.
But when I generate the html I always have the thumbnail from the latest movie for all the movies.
here is the example (look at the bottom):

At the moment all the pictures (thumbs/sheets) are simply copied without changing the name of the picture.
So all your thumbs are overwritten and at the end the last folder.jpg is displayed on your page for each movie.
I'll think about the problem.
Also any possibility to add an option to not copy the movie files?

Normally no movie files are copied (????). Check your masks for sheets and thumbs. Do not use * and check the suffix (.jpg).
Latest question, any way to keep the old generated files and just updates with the new movies found in the input directory?

Hope I am clear enough

There is no way to do this. All the html output and the content of the html files is normally a collection of your movies (one line per movie ...).
Updating this would be a mess, especially if you change your template.
Please read some of my documentation (help and how to create templates). After that you might want to try tg2mir (see my footer)

That seems like EXACTLY what we need..!
For dvd's YAMJ also likes .iso files just as thumbgen I guess so people shouldn't have VIDEO_TS folders :)
For Blue-Ray it depends on the player that people have and also .m2ts files are better suited for yamj and thumbgen to extract movie information!
That would be super cool if you can put that function in tg2htm..!

Hi nostradamus,
Try this one and tell me the results.
http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/beta/tg2htm_beta.zip
If it's o.k. I'll update the documentation (ugly work) and release a new version.

Thanks mh667..!
I'll download it and have a look at it this week, I'll have results hopefully before this weekend..!
Thanks again..

This will be fixed in the next update of tg2htm.
Even if you do not use substitution variables in your filenames (thumbs/sheets with fixed filenames like folder.jpg) tg2htm will do this internally for the html-output.

Update: New version available, see first post

Howdy,

I tried the beta version which works great for the filesize..!
The movie has 3 files and picks the biggest one:
Directory of Z:\media\_movies\r\Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]\BDMV\STREAM
8.480.176.128 00000.m2ts
16.760.832 01200.m2ts
14.505.984 01201.m2ts
The problem that I now have is that is uses the 00000.m2ts as filename which ends up with a broken html page because you can only have
Image
Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Is there a way to fix this within tg2htm..? maybe let tg2htm use the foldername to help it find the proper %MOVIENAME_PARENT_DIR%_sheet.jpg ...?

Hi,
mmmh ... this sucks, I hate those DVD and Blue-Ray Disk structures.
I assume tg2htm produced an error-log ?
Is there an entry like "cant find STREAM_sheet.jpg" ?
In your example %MOVIE_PARENT_DIR% ist "STREAM".
%MOVIE_PARENT_DIR% is defined as "Name of directory where the movie resides" .... by the way .. there is no var named %MOVIENAME_PARENT_DIR% ...
I never thought about analyzing Blue-Ray Disk structures (you guys must have pentabytes of disk space  ).
Have to think about it ... earliest next week .. I am on the road this weekend

**EDITED** MY BAD:

Yes it does produce an error log:
20120127154800: 00000.m2ts Thumbnail Picture not found: C:\test\STREAM_thumb.jpg
20120127154800: 00000.m2ts Moviesheet Picture not found: C:\test\STREAM_sheet.jpg

EDIT MY BAD:
you are right it is MOVIE_PARENT_DIR and not MOVIENAME_PARENT_DIR
I'll change that just to make sure..!

No petabytes here..if you rip out all the stuff you don't need it is not so bad :)

nostradamus99 wrote:No tg2htm did not produce an error log..it just creates a broken html page as I showed above.

These are my settings:
So I don't understand what you mean with no var %MOVIENAME_PARENT_DIR% (it says %MOVIENAME_PARENT_DIR% in the description..?)

Just found some minutes to check the program and build a new beta:

http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/beta/tg2htm_beta.zip

Try it, but read the following before:

If var %MOVIE_PARENT_DIR% is used in your thumb/sheet mask the parent folders BDMV\STREAM ( CAPITAL letters ) will be ignored.
e.g.:
Path: Z:\media\_movies\r\Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]\BDMV\STREAM
%MOVIE_PARENT_DIR%: Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]
tg2htm is the searching for pictures in: Z:\media\_movies\r\Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]\ (non recursive) or Central Sheet Directory, if configured.
Your picture name must be something like: *Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]*

I edited the settings and now it works correctly (except for the BDMW folders).
As you can see all .mkv files are correctly parsed except for the .m2ts file:

I'm downloading your beta and checking it out..!

Tested the new beta version and still this in the error log:
20120127161956: 00000.m2ts Thumbnail Picture not found: C:\test\STREAM_thumb.jpg
20120127161956: 00000.m2ts Moviesheet Picture not found: C:\test\STREAM_sheet.jpg

It looks in the correct directory but if it sees a BDMW\STREAM folder it should ignore it AND look for %MOVIE_PARENT_DIR%_sheet.jpg in c:\test instead of the filename.jpg I think..

I have a Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]_sheet.jpg and Rise of the Planet of the Apes [2011]_thumb.jpg in c:\test
