----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Jan 20,2012 Version 0.9.5.0

Check the project homepage http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/ for more information and download.

fixed javascipt in complex templates now also running in IE (Chrome not working - does not support some java-script statements)

added Some more templates

changed Default Templates will be delivered as separate files/dir - not included in executable

added Vars %MOVIE_PARENT_DIR%, %MOVIE_PARENT_DIR_TXT% Useful if your Thumbs and Sheets are named like the movie folder (suggested by ALlShare)

added Links (windows shortcuts .lnk) to movie files are considered valid movie files, if the referred file is a valid and existing movie file.
The name of the link/shortcut is the movie name used for processing (not the real movie the link points to).
Movie information files (thumbs, sheets ..) must correspond to the name of the link.

added The full path to the movie and it's directory may be used in your HTML templates (requested by jazz)
%MOVIENAME_FULL_PATH% - full path to movie file (e.g. M:/somemovie/somemovie.mkv, //movies/somemovie/somemovie.mkv)
%MOVIENDIR_FULL_PATH% - full path to movie dir (e.g. M:/somemovie/, //movies/somemovie/)

changed Special characters in output filenames are masked via "_<hex_code>_" (good advice by jazz)
%MOVIENAME_NO_EXT% and %MOVIENAME% do also contain these masked characters (e.g. "my movie.avi" -> "my_20_movie.avi")

added Vars %MOVIENAME_TXT_NO_EXT%, %MOVIENAME_TXT, if movie filenames are used in templates to display unmasked filename

fixed In-/Out-folder selected from history (drop-down): Change of last used folder not saved.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Major Update and lots of new features !

You can create dynamic HTML pages to select your movies by genre and a lot of filters now !

Have a look at some examples of HTML pages to see what tg2htm can do for you:

Complex DHTML (Javascript) example using all features of tg2htm
http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/complex.nfo.demo.all.selections

Quite simple HTML example using 3 frames and genre thumbnails
http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/3frames.nfo.genre.thumbs.sheet

Really simple HTML example using 3 frames
http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/3frames.thumbs.sheet.texts

The pages have been created using test data (to avoid publishing copyright protected pictures).
The examples are hosted on free webspace, so they will not load in turbo performance (sorry about that).

Check the new project homepage http://tg2htm.mh667.bplaced.net/ for more information and download.

Hi all,

here is the first beta of the tool I'm working on using windows scripting language Autohotkey.
It is quite simple, or has been .... when I started the project.

The program scans an input-folder for movie files, grabs thumbs and sheets according to naming-conventions and copies them to a html-output dir.
Then html-files are created based on a template consisting of several html files using some substitution variables and tokens.
You many adapt the html template to you needs or create new ones.

Sorry for the known issues:
Lack of dokumentation
Some functions missing / not yet implemented
Lousy template included. More and better templates needed

You can get it here:
Compiled exe

Bravo mh667!

I just saw this tool, missed it before, :? don't know how.
I often have a need to browse the movies from different points in my network, now it can be done fast way (if I have to do it in real time I'll still use MovieSheets for Windows Explorer, thanks to funkenstain 8-) http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3888)

Please, add 2 more advanced options:

- Option1: Create link to the movie filename (so it can be started by default player)
- Option2: Create links "Open this movie folder"

I will try it later today, but according to your documentation I didn't see those 2 options are present now. Sorry if I'm mistaken...

Excellent idea!

It tells me it can't find my movie sheets. Not sure what I am missing here. Maybe a naming convention I should change. What do you suggest?

Hi Rob,
could you pls provide the following information about your configuration ( one example):
Name of movie
Name of Movie Sheet picture
Name of Thumbnail picture
Name of ThumbGen nfo file

Where are your movie files located (one folder per movie) ?
Where are your sheets etc. located (movie folder, central sheet repository ...)

Name of Movie = anything UI have really...no sheets show (10000BC.avi_sheet.jpg)
Name of Thumbnail = folder.jpg (this works fine and shows up)
Name of ThumbGen nfo file = moviename.ext.nfo (From memory at this time away from home ATM)
Each movie in their own folder and sheet with the movie
Using 1.02.21 WDLXTV 0.5.0.0 so no linksheets
This is over the network with HDD attached to the WDTV.

I like this, it should make my life easy if/when I get it working.

Thanks

I assume the name of the movie is : 10000BC.avi
If you use the defaults of tg2htm your sheet should be 10000BC_sheet.jpg ( not 10000BC.avi_sheet.jpg )
But this is no problem, you just have to change the defaults in the GUI of tg2htm ( Advanced Options: Tab Search Movies, Sheets, Thumbnails):
Change Movie Sheet Files Mask from %MOVIENAME_NO_EXT%_sheet.jpg to %MOVIENAME%_sheet.jpg
Hope this was your problem.
