If you then hold "Ctrl" & "Shift" together you can click & select multiple items but you can't select an item (as far as I know) through a transparent item i.e through the transparent image part of the layer, if parts of that layer don't contain an image & are blank you will be able to select a lower item. If you have selected multiple items in the image using "Ctrl" & "Shift" you can then add to that multiple selection by holding down the "Ctrl" key & selecting an item from the layer list to add to your selection. Once you have your selection you can click anywhere in the image & drag them around or scale them together without losing your selection until you pick another layer.

Great tutorial, thank you!

On a different note, it would be a good idea to be able to turn the "Actions" on & off the same way you do with the layers. So that when you click the eye on an action, that action is disabled, reverting the element, without having to delete it & re-add it again.

Good idea, I'll try to implement it.

Something that lstar337 & myself were talking about today was being able to use the blend modes of layers to effect the ones directly below them as in Photoshop, using Darkem, Multiply, Colour Burn, Linear Burn, Lighten, Overlay, Subtract, Hue, Luminosity & many others. This might be taking things abit far & not possible but would be handy as you can get some great effects.

We will discuss a bit later about this...

Another thing was would it be possible to have an option to fix an elements position by the top right corner instead of the top left? So that any adjustments made to an element happened all to the left instead of to the right.

What do u mean? You can resize to the left... text can be right aligned... give me some usage samples so I can understand.

That should give you something to think about

Yeah, right... as if my mind was at rest... :P

What lstar wanted to do was have a text element for his "Title" that was justified right & set to AutoSize so that he could look at the length of his text element & use it to scale another image element using xslt when the Title length changed. If the text element could have it's origin top right instead of top left then the right hand end of the text would always be in the same place with AutoSize on & the text would change it's length to the left of Orogin not right. Perhaps you can't pick up the length of a text element wjen AutoSize is on, I'm not sure...was just an idea he had.

Hope that explains it better :)

Ok, I understand. Not sure if it is doable, we'll see.

For the moment I am quite happy as I got the "Move mode" working similar with Photoshop... Basically now selecting items is done in non-MoveMode and moving is also possible in MoveMode (where selection is switched off to avoid selecting items by mistake). In 1-2 days a new beta will be out (I'm trying now to add the Ctrl-Shift selection also in MoveMode as it can't be done accidentally being conditioned by keys).

I would like to see a button resize ratio (for example).
-I select an element
-I click the button
-asked for the ratio
-I add 1.5
-result: now the element is 1.5 bigger (W et H).

Really good for converting a 720 template to a 1080.

Or you have planned to add an option to resize the whole template ?

Another idea:
A possibility to copy/past "just" the properties of a selected element (like word/excel for ex).

-I open 2 templates.
-I select the title from the 1.
-right-click, copy properties
-I select the title from the template2.
-right-click, paste properties
now my title from the template 2 have the same properties than the title from template 1.

Don't have to copy/past the entire element and to change the disposition/text of it.

Or you think this is useless :?:

Yes, I plan to have a Tool menu with the option to resize complete template to the desired target dimension.

Is it possible to add the option to keep aspect ratio of image elements? This should be selected by default & maybe turn it off if you want to stretch your image element.

I din't explain myself well.
Like in excel the formatting copy (I don't know if it's the good word because mine is in French).
So it's copy just the formatting and not the formulas.

So I would like to copy the formatting of an element (font, color, size, actions...) but not the entire element.
I've put properties because it's the name of the right pane.

Better explanation or not

Yes, I will try something like that (it's not supported by default by the rendering engine), it is really necessary...
