taurus35 wrote:I like the 2 select/move modes, although at present there is no way to move multiple items, perhaps you could implement an "DX" & "DY" option in the properties window when multiple items are selected so you can move them all by a certain amount in X or Y.
It is surely possible to move multiple elements (by dragging them) as long as they are not covered by some big other element. This is the thing I must figure out and the select/move thing is closed from my side. Selecting any items works by clicking their "Name" in the top-left corner (I'll make this more obvious in the next version) and moving them should work by simply switching to Move Mode and dragging them. Moving by a delta (dx,dy) is interesting and I'll consider it too.
I have also noticed that when selected not all elements come up with the resizing nodes in the corners some image elements have them & some don't & the same with text elements.
Yes. There are some conditions there: if the TextElement has Autosize=true then you can't resize it via the corners handles. Also if the item is "Locked" it can't be moved/resized. And also if an Element has at least one Action then it can't be resized using the handles. There's a rendering engine limitation in this case that I couldn't workaround for now.
When you lock an element I noticed you are still able to resize it by dragging the nodes (if it has them) & you can still move it using the properties box & edit anything else within the properties box.
Right. I am not very sure what to lock and what not in the "Locked" status; I was waiting for suggestions and your suggestion is good: I should "freeze" it completely. But then what I do when multiselecting? What do I show in Properties? Maybe I should exclude the Locked items and show there only common props for the Unlocked ones. Basically the Locked items should be out of any selection list. Once you locked an item it should be "dead" and "transparent" from the mouse point of view. You could only Unlock it via the Elements tree maybe.
Also there is still the issue of not being able to drag items around the template when you do want to move them as it tries to select the top most item. This is a big problem if you have a png that covers the whole template as the top item. Perhaps when you are in move mode and an item/items is selected you can automatically lock (totally) all other elements so you can just drag the ones selected.
Yes, this is the biggest problem remaining for the moving. I have to definitely find a way to allow moving multiple items smartly. The workaround for now is to make the big png that covers the template Invisible during the movement. In that way you can also use the "lasso" to multi select elements. This problem is my biggest milestone for the next beta version
I have also noticed it crashes a lot when I try to edit the tokens mapping. I have tried both editing the xml & within the designer. I can change one or two tokens ok but anything much more than that & it crashes or comes up with an error when I restart it if editing the xml.
Can you pls find out what the error says? Either a screenshot or the log should have it.

But now I've re try and no error anymore.
Maybe the error was the older version.
