How 2 connect livingroom Live to my PC -> bedroom scart tv?

Postby ToddeSwe » Wed Dec 07, 2011 9:43 am

Hi!

This is just an idea and everything leading me to a solution is gratefully accepted :)

Is it possible to connect my living room WDTV Live via internal network to my PC and from my PC out to my bedroom old scart TV?
And controlling it from my Android app that already is working :)

Would be a dream come through :)

P.S

remember i'm a real nOOb :) at this so my mind is not cluttered with knowledge :)

Since you mention an old TV,
maybe you could use a video sender:

amazon_video_sender

does this concept seems to fit what you want to achieve ?

getting it to the pc, probably not so difficult, but it wouldn't be the way you're thinking

WDLXTV can share out any attached media via smb, nfs, dnla and maybe some others I forgot
but it would be up to the pc to start/stop/control playback

Thank for the reply, but i was more thinking of a software solution making my dream come through :)

Like using the network sending me the signal from WDTV to my PC showing what is played on my WDTV and then i can connect my PC to my old TV in the bedroom....

Like the idea though to sending our living room tv signal to my son's TV in his room or even the daughter room. Thanks again!
