I'll be away from the community for a while

Postby mad_ady » Wed Nov 16, 2011 12:16 am

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let everybody know that for personal reasons (my wife is about to give birth to our first child) I will not have the time to be an active member of the community any more. I will still check the threads I am subscribed to, and I will look over new posts under UMSP, but I will not have the time to read all posts (as I did before), and most likely I won't have the time to develop or improve any new UMSP plugins :(

I intend to fix bugs in the plugins I worked on (so I will not be abandoning them), but I may reply later than usual.

I'd like to thank the community and the developers for giving me a challenging and fun environment this past year, and I hope I will be returning with new contributions as soon as possible.

Cheers!

Good luck with the familly!
Soon you'll realize how much spare time you had, but didn't know you had until now ... because you don't have it anymore ... :lol:

But don't worry, you still have spare time... But you'll realize that only when you'll get your second child :lol:

Congrats m8. I am sure you'll enjoy tweaking your new toy (Live Gen 2 LOL).

Good luck to mother and child in the days to come.

Thank you all for the positive (and sometimes scary - superbigjay I'm looking at you!) feedback.

The specs for my new unit are:
* 3.07 kg
* 51 cm
* 2 arms, 2 legs
* 1 cpu

Both mother and baby are doing well and tomorrow will be together. I, too, am trying to adjust - after some emotional moments when I first saw the little troublemaker. :) Never thought of myself as the emotional type, but meeting your son can have that effect on you...

Anyway, I'm going to crash now because I had a long day (just one in the long series ahead of me). ;)

Congratulation,

This is why having kids is good for geeks. it prevent us from becoming borgs
Still, I managed to keep some logic in my own sequence: 9-6-3 years old;

And don't forget sleep is just another overrated concept :-)
Who really needs it :lol:
