Hi,
I'm a little rusty so please be nice with me!
I was using the old gen 1 WDTV I think and using ThumbGen to create my movie sheets for movies and tv shows from my network
With the old one i was running b-rads custom firmware and my sheets were listed like this
.Alice In Wonderland 2010 (720p).mkv_sheet.jpg
.folder_sheet.jpg
It recently decided to no longer work via HDMI so I bought a new WD TV Media Player (Gen 4)
I followed the instructions here and changed everything but I assume my old method with Thumb Gen for my sheets isnt going to work anymore?
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
Nothing appears ive gone in and enabled linksheets etc. but I get nothing in list mode...
Do i need to setup a new theme?

note sure if it works with a dot in the front
but it basically works the same
biggest difference
is that theme's are officially supported and are not a WDLXTV feature anymore
as such the default mochi theme and many theme's do not support linksheets
however there are some themer's that have created linksheet compatible themes
you might want to look for something like "goodbye black mamba" I know it supports linksheets
anyways, most all themes the author will say up front if it supports linksheets

Ahhh thanks ill give it a shot
the . in front was because the old system going over a network would detect the images, the .made them invisible so only the videos appeared

I've installed the black mamba theme and added the profiles to thumb gen
but for some reason if i call the folder .theme.linksheets it doesnt appear??
if i call it .theme it does appear as forced
and you were right the . in front wont work now... I can see the thumbnails appear on the normal theme but obviously the movie sheets dont appear

that's because the option .theme.linksheets does not exist
correct naming is
.<myosd name here>.theme.linksheets
example
.mythemenamehere.theme.linksheets
.Goodbye Black Mamba.theme.linksheets
.anotherthemename.theme.linksheets

ok the black mamba theme is there, and i get the images appear for the thumbnails (which are named the exact same as the movie in the same folder as the movie) but the background movie sheet isnt appearing?
it has to be in the folder above the one the movie is in and be named
'A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) (720p) (HC) (HDRip).jpg'
if the movie is named
'A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) (720p) (HC) (HDRip).mkv'
is this correct?

ok figured it out and its working now
change the file extension from jpg of the movie sheet to the same extension as your movie:
copy the renamed movie sheet into the root folder of the theme
so i did this
'A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) (720p) (HC) (HDRip).jpg'
to the same as the movie
'A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) (720p) (HC) (HDRip).mkv'
ftp to my wd's usb where the theme folder is...
now is there an easier way than this or do i have to ftp the images every time, can i store them on my pc in a specific folder?
or do i have to batch rename them all the time and ftp them?

well, that is one way to do it
but with .namehere.theme.linksheets that should not be required if configured correctly
