ok this is going to make me seem like a noob

what's the point or function of unrar on webend
I assumed that it was an interface for unrar or unzip files directly on WD
but I just don't see how it's supposed to work

I even pulled my old WD live
config seems straightforward
but even on the old WD Live
if I just click the icon, I get a blank dark blue pop-up screen ?

I would have thought clicking the icon would give me a list of items in the completed folder
and then a button to start unrar
when completed they would be unrar'ed and moved to extracted

somebody enlighten me, please
??

I have no idea what that does also, you noob. Must be some left-over from some older project. I can speculate that maybe it was a way to mount rar files as filesystems... Who knows?

RFTM dudes
To have a compatible file setup in deluge "Preferences > Downloads"you need to have the following settings
Move completed: true
Set your path to downloads below to the directory that contains the "completed" folder, the name of the "completed" folder and likewise with where you want to have it extracted to under the path to downloads
If your completed downloads are stored at /tmp/sdb/downloads/completed and you want them extracted to /tmp/sdb/downloads/extracted your settings would be the following
Path to downloads: /tmp/sdb/downloads/
Folder with completed downloads: completed
Folder to extract to: extracted
Path to downloads:
Folder with completed downloads:
Folder to extract to:

I have had this configured in conjunction with Deluge (back in the early days), but today, this rar-thing is also dead end on my wdlxtv.
But as it sounds so nice to yell at people: noob!
