hello, just got a wd live and wish I had read some reviews of it for audio playback before I went ahead and bought it.
are there any improvements with WDLX?

my main thing is simple, to be able to queue the tracks as I listen, something I can do on tablets and phones from the NAS disk already, but the WD live does not. any thoughts???

The OSD does not allow such customization, but there are some app.bins around that offer a HTML interface for your music. You can manipulate it in the interface and it will play on the wdtv.

I think what you are looking for is something like this:
http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=5763#p47776

Plays files from drives connected to WDTV and let's you controll it with a webinterface from different devices in your LAN.

The other option is to use DLNA (search the forum I just explained this in a recent post...)

Not much to do there...
1) Download the file (webplayer.app.bin)
2) Place it on your USB drive connected to WDTV
3) Reboot WDTV

...and as always the solution is on the wiki: Installing Applications - Manual Setup :ugeek:
