Webend: sd1 missing from WAP

Postby leetwanker » Fri Nov 29, 2013 3:26 am

I'm not sure where to start on diagnosing this issue but it's effecting functionality as you'll see in the below screencapture.

Not sure exactly when the issue popped up but where the drop-down should say On sd1 it says On 1341. Anything I try to install in WAP fails due to 1341 obviously not being a valid device (also shown in screencap). Take a look.

edit: Well, I tracked down the problem. Yet not the underlying cause.

a section of my /proc/mounts file:
Code: Select all

For some reason these are getting garbled and it seems to be effecting the following lines in WAM's php file:
Code: Select all
    exec("sudo cat /proc/mounts | grep '/dev/sd' | grep 'media/usb' | cut -d' ' -f2 | sed -e 's/\\040/\ /'",$dev_array);

Why they're getting garbled, I've no clue. When I comment out the above shares in my net.mounts file the issue goes away.

edit: I tried switching to nfs mounts. Now the WAM dropdown shows 68.2 in place of sd1

/proc/mounts using nfs:
Code: Select all
/dev/sda1 /tmp/media/usb/USB2/C4F2-4A0D vfat rw,noatime,nodiratime,fmask=0000,d$
192.168.200.211:/New\040TV /tmp/media/usb/New\040TV nfs ro,vers=3,rsize=32768,w$
192.168.200.211:/New\040TV /tmp/media/usb/USB2/New\040TV nfs ro,vers=3,rsize=32$
192.168.200.211:/New\040Movies /tmp/media/usb/New\040Movies nfs ro,vers=3,rsize$
192.168.200.211:/New\040TV /tmp/media/usb/USB2/C4F2-4A0D/extra-devices/New\040T$
192.168.200.211:/New\040Movies /tmp/media/usb/USB2/New\040Movies nfs ro,vers=3,$

Well, it's enabling MediaLibrary that's breaking it. Either the presence of .addMounts or the extra mounts that are created in /proc/mounts.

can you run this line in console and report back the output on your system?
Code: Select all
cat /proc/mounts | grep '/dev/sd' | grep 'media/usb' | cut -d' ' -f2 | sed -e 's/\\040/\ /'

I've unwittingly solved the issue. Don't ask me how. If it pops back up again I'll post the result.
