WebEnd FAQ

Postby b-rad.cc » Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:42 pm

Heres a quick & dirty rough WebEnd FAQ, will add to as I think of more.

scripts:
Code: Select all
add.webplugin
- adds location to be symlinked into /var/www/plugins on every boot

Code: Select all
remove.webplugin
- removes location from /var/www/plugins

The symlink and thus navigation to the WDTV from a browser doesn't work for me, please check the syntax:

Code: Select all
add.webplugin WebEnd /tmp/media/usb/USB2/A23C948D3C945E5B/WebEnd

All files of the unpacked 2.5.2.rar are in the attached USB HDD in the folder WebEnd. Did I misinterpreted this dirty rough FAQ? :)

This is a general Webend faq for the built in webend package, and has nothing to do with Webend 2.5.X. Best ask there.

What should be done with
Code: Select all
add.webplugin
??

Is it supposed to be added to some script? Which script?

I would like to use the WebEnd but I have no idea how to start it.

to start, just make sure your live is on the network
then on a computer internet browser type the <IP address of your WDTVLive>
you'll be prompted for user name and password default is wdlxtv:wdlxtv

Where's the FAQ?

I get "Oops! Google Chrome could not find wdlxtvlive" when looking up 'http://wdlxtvlive' on first time setup.

Any help would be appreciated.

[EDIT: I used the IP Address and that worked. Not sure why the IP method isn't mentioned in the Moviesheets+ Guide. Still, not sure how to find the FAQ. Oh well.]

Check the right top of this very page.

EDIT: I was about to delete my post (this thread is about Webend FAQ and not GENERAL FAQ),
but based on your question, you do need to read the General FAQ
Q: How do I access the WebEnd?
A: Open a web browser, and enter your WDTV's IP address (for example, http://192.168.0.110)
