well if it doesn't work its something you've done to make it that way most likely ;)

Have you looked in the webend bug report to see if theres any messages about shoutcast? Maybe one saying 'cannot use Live365 Switcher with lighttpd webserver disabled!!!' ?

If so then enable it like is stated in S00custom-options:
Code: Select all
config_tool -c LIGHTTPD=ON

Plus did you even notice the difference between our two shoutcast config_tool settings? Yours was LIVE365SWITCHER and mine (correct) was LIVE365_SWITCHER. I can guarantee you only the exactly correct setting name will do anything.

reinstalling wouldn't do anything to your favorites ;)

shoutcast favorites are stored in /conf/shoutcast.favorites

Hi,
I would appreciate it if someone guide me to a link that details configuring and implementing Shoutcast on WD Lx TV?

I have checked that
LIGHTTPD is ON
and
config_tool -c LIVE365_SWITCHER=shoutcast

However on power cycling, I still see Live365! Obviously I am missing something.

Thanks.

The menu item is still named Live365, but if you enter it you should see the shoutcast logo in the right bottom corner.

When I enter the Live365 menu, I get the usual prompt "0 days left on your VIP free trail...."
Btw I do not have osd.bin. Is that needed any way to bring in shoutcast? As I said, I just made the entry in the S00_* file thats all.
Thanks.

Update: I have been able to make it work. For some reason, LIGHTTPD=ON was not getting updated I guess from the S00* file.
From telnet console, fired "config_tool -c LIGHTTPD=ON" and power cycled.
Now it works!
