I'm having this problem too. One thing I've been able to determine is that on a clean unit (fresh re-flash, no plugins, reset Everything to defaults), Pandora seems to work like a champ.

I'm going to try and track down what's causing the problem and try to take one step back to see if that un-causes the problem. Anyhooooo... wish me luck.

Good luck! Try with WDLXTV=OFF and see what happens.

Also - you should be able to restart the OSD without rebooting (/etc/init.d/S70dmaosd stop; /etc/init.d/S70dmaosd start) if you're on at least 0.5.2.0. The newer version comes with a webend link to restart the OSD.

Tried with WDLXTV=OFF and it didn't make a difference.

dmaosd stop/start is pretty damned nifty! Thanks for that.

You just see the output of the playback engine, but if the whole OSD freezes, then it should generate a crash message on console or something. It wouldn't help much anyway...

Bleh, I've about given up on Pandora. I'm surprised more people aren't having the same problem. We all have the same hardware, we're running the same software pretty much.

Should I try using an old version of 1.02.21? 0.4.7.3 maybe? Now that I've realized what WDTVExt can really do I'm not abandoning it.

Hi,

The same problem you described I face running 1.02.21_V.WDLXTV_LIVE-0.5.2.1 firmware.
1.02.21_WDLXTV.COM_EXT3-BOOT_LIVE-0.4.7.3 behaves I would say a little better because more songs can be listened before box freezes.
Should any difference be expected with flashed version of the firmware ? Does anyone have any experience with 1.05.04 fw when it comes to
the issue reported ? Are there any firmware version that does not freezes wdtv box ? The interesting thing is that box reacts on eiri even when it
freezes so I can reboot it with a script.

Thank you

1.05 might behave differently - I don't know. I haven't used Pandora, and there have been no changes compared to the stock version... You can give it a try, but realistically, let's hope we can finish work on 1.06 and it is more stable there.

It must be video advertisements that somehow "confuse" the box and they are played regularly every few songs with free accounts.
If you upgrade to a payed account which is "advertisements free" wdlxtv plays perfectly well.
