Update:
I've played with the new formats a bit and it seems format 5 (240P, flv) is not supported by the wdtv, so I reverted it to 18 (360P, mp4).

With regard to navigation - it seems it doesn't make any difference if I try to navigate inside a flv or a mp4 inside the youtube interface - it can FF/REV only inside the buffered area, so my comments are irrelevant.

What firmware are you on, gparisoe?

If you are on 0.5.1.1 you shouldn't edit any files. You should just enable youtube hd from the web interface. See the readme for details.

Can you access your private videos and playlists with youtubeHD activated? I can't since a couple of weeks.
Without hd it still works.

You should still be able to access them (I don't use private videos/playlists to test), since the changes are made in the part that gets the video data, not the list of videos.
You can also try to see if you can view the list of private videos with youtube-subscriptions (they won't play though, but should be visible as items).

If it still doesn't work (and other users confirm this), something might have changed in the youtube's APIs...
